As first reported in Beverage Digest, PepsiCo and Anheuser-Busch are partnering up on joint promotional opportunities throughout the year that bundle together a variety of popular products, including Pepsi, Doritos, Budweiser and Bud Light. Beginning with Super Bowl XLVII, U.S. consumers will see joint advertisements and point-of-sale displays in large- and small-format retailers, as well as coupons promoting deals.
A statement issued by both companies said, "The promotions between PepsiCo and Anheuser-Busch offer convenience and value to consumers during a variety of occasions. Since we are both official National Football League sponsors, we are in a unique position to kick off the year by helping our consumers celebrate Super Bowl XLVII with brands like Pepsi, Doritos, Budweiser and Bud Light. This is a continuation of the longstanding relationship our companies have had in several areas of our business."
